Stewardship of the Western Mystery Teachings
Builders of the Adytum, Ltd., a nonprofit religious corporation established in the State of California, USA, was founded by Dr. Paul Foster Case as an outer vehicle of the Inner School with the primary purpose of custodianship and dissemination of the Western Mystery School teachings embodied in the Holy Qabalah and Sacred Tarot.
Builders of the Adytum offers the curriculum developed and refined through 50 years of dedication and sacrifice by Dr. Paul Foster Case and his appointed successor Rev. Ann Davies. The stewards and directors of B.O.T.A. are now, as they have been from the founding, irrevocably dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of these priceless teachings of Ageless Wisdom embodied in the B.O.T.A. lessons, monographs and books written by Dr. Paul Foster Case and Rev. Ann Davies, forsaking any and all personal profit or gain, and preserving them unaltered.
B.O.TA. seeks to disclose to all earnest seekers the means whereby they may induce a higher state of conscious awareness. This aim is identical with all the great spiritual teachings throughout the ages. ALL spiritual attainment comes through the expansion of conscious awareness, which is sometimes called "an awakening," and in a larger sense - illumination. B.O.TA. offers you keys to such expansion and provides you with the necessary training methods and the techniques for its realization. These methods are clearly formulated to help the earnest seeker discover the means whereby higher or expanded states of consciousness may be experienced. Possession of such expanded states of consciousness will unerringly bring you closer to what you want to be and do in the world.
Builders of the Adytum, Ltd., is the only worldwide organization with authority to distribute the lesson materials and writings in its care. B.O.T.A. has only one authorized portal on the Internet — www.bota.org — with links to www.botaineurope.org (European center) and www.bota.org.nz (New Zealand branch). B.O.T.A. does not have or endorse any other websites.
As Dr. Paul Foster Case wrote in the last chapter of his book The True and Invisible Rosicrucian Order:
There is a Rosicrucian Order. And there are Rosicrucian societies that are undoubtedly in touch with that invisible Inner School. None of these societies, however, claims to be the Order itself, and none makes any particular pretension to antiquity, although some have been working for a relatively long period.
These organizations of occult students quietly carry on the work of initiation and instruction in various parts of the world. If you are duly and truly prepared, you will undoubtedly make contact with such schools in due season...
But if somebody all dressed up in gaudy regalia, publicly or semi-publicly announcing himself to be the "Head" of the Rosicrucians, makes a bid for your allegiance or financial support, on your own head be it if you afterward go through a period of cruel disillusion, should you accept him as such.
I do not condemn such pretenders. They condemn themselves. Besides, I think I know why they are permitted to carry on their impostures. Above all, the practical occultist must develop the quality of discrimination, and they who lack it have to learn some bitter lessons. So also do those who, themselves disbelieving in spiritual verities, pretend to such belief in order to gain control of the lives and purses of their fellowmen. Their own want of discrimination is as great as that of those who are led astray by their claptrap. Sooner or later the frauds and their dupes will learn better. Meanwhile, be on your guard.
